The research group is interested in the magneto-structural and chemical properties of multiple and single transition metal based co-ordination complexes using sterically hindered (viz. bulky amine and imine based ligands) and/or redox non-innocent planar ligands (viz. 9-hydroxyphenalenone derivatives). The obtained complexes are explored for their magneto-structural properties and catalysis. Complexes of expected potency are tested for chemical or photo nuclease activity.
